NBA fans who can’t wait to get their hands on NBA 2K25 will be thrilled to know that the Early Tip-Off begins on September 4, two days before the official launch date on September 6. This preorder benefit is available for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC versions of the game, both in physical and digital formats. Major retailers like Amazon have already adjusted the release date to September 4 for physical copies of the game for PlayStation and Xbox. Unfortunately, the Nintendo Switch version of NBA 2K25 does not offer this preorder perk.

The cover of NBA 2K25 features stars from both the NBA and WNBA, including Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics, A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces, and Hall of Famer Vince Carter. There are four different editions of the game, each packed with virtual goodies for players to enjoy. Before preordering, it’s important to understand the differences between each edition and the bonus content that comes with it.

The standard edition of NBA 2K25 includes the base game, with an additional 5,000 VC for players who preorder. There is also a Limited Time Trendsetter Reward available for players who play the game before October 17. This reward includes 15,000 VC, Trendsetter Green Animation, an exclusive Trendsetter Cosmetic Set, an 89 OVR Jayson Tatum Player Card, 3 MyTEAM Promo Packs, and more.

The Nintendo Switch version of NBA 2K25 is priced at $60 and does not offer early access like the other versions. The cover of this edition features A’ja Wilson instead of Jayson Tatum. Players who preorder this version will receive 5,000 VC and will be eligible for the Trendsetter Reward if they play before October 17. The game will be released on September 6 for Nintendo Switch.

For $100, players can purchase the All-Star Edition of NBA 2K25, which includes a multitude of in-game goodies such as Skill Boosts, Gatorade Boosts, player jerseys, player cards, and more. Preordering this edition on PlayStation will also grant players two MyTeam Promo Packs, a MyPlayer Gamer Plate, and 5,000 VC to spend in-game.

The Hall of Fame Edition of NBA 2K25 is priced at $100 and includes a 12-month NBA League Pass subscription, giving players access to live games throughout the season. In addition, players will receive a Season 1 Pro Pass with 4 automatic Pro Pass rewards. This edition also comes with 100,000 VC, Skill Boosts, Gatorade Boosts, player jerseys, player cards, and more. Preordering on PlayStation will also grant players two MyTeam Promo Packs, a MyPlayer Gamer Plate, and 5,000 VC.
