Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus impressed with its stunning visuals and unique pogo mechanics, making it a standout Metroidvania game in the year of 2024. Developed by Squid Shock Studios, the game garnered an 8/10 rating from Nintendo Life, securing its spot in third place for July’s eShop Selects.
SCHiM took a different approach to platforming with its shadow-hopping mechanic, which became the central focus of the game. While it may not have expanded beyond this core mechanic, the game’s novelty and beautiful visuals earned it a solid 7/10 score. SCHiM captured the hearts of many at Nintendo Life, making it a fan favorite among the staff.
Securing the top spot by a single vote, Furniture & Mattress’ debut title, Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure, stole the show in July’s eShop Selects.
