Konami recently announced that the Metal Gear Solid Collection, consisting of Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, will be coming to the PS4. This collection, officially known as Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1, was previously announced for other platforms such as PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. The decision to release a PS4 version was made in response to the numerous requests from fans worldwide.
Nostalgia Preserved
The Master Collection faithfully recreates the original games, preserving their historical context and the creator’s original vision. However, it acknowledges that some elements may have aged poorly. While the PS4 version’s release date remains unspecified, fans can anticipate the arrival of the game on other platforms on October 24th. The PS4 version will only be available as a digital release or “download ver” as stated by Konami on Twitter.
