Actor Steven Ogg, known for his role as Trevor in GTA 5, recently confirmed the existence of a cancelled DLC titled “Agent Trevor”. This expansion would have taken Trevor on an undercover mission working with the FBI. Unfortunately, this DLC, along with two others, was cancelled by Rockstar Games back in 2017.

Dataminers uncovered references to three DLC packs, including Agent Trevor, Zombie Apocalypse, and Alien Invasion, in the GTA 5 files. While details about the latter two expansions remain scarce, it seems that Agent Trevor had made some progress in development before being scrapped. Ogg shared that he had recorded lines for the DLC and was briefed on the storyline, revealing that Trevor was meant to pose as a secret agent for the government.

Despite some work being done on Agent Trevor, the DLC was ultimately abandoned by Rockstar. It is unclear how far along in development the expansion was or when the decision to cancel it was made. Some ideas from the Agent Trevor concept were integrated into GTA Online content, such as the Doomsday and Diamond Casino heists, showcasing that elements of the DLC did not go to waste.

With the cancellation of Agent Trevor now a thing of the past, it is unlikely that players will ever get to experience this expansion or any remnants of it in the future. Ogg’s confirmation of the project sheds light on what could have been an exciting addition to the GTA 5 universe, but unfortunately, it was not meant to be.

Overall, the revelation of the cancelled “Agent Trevor” DLC adds another layer to the history of GTA 5’s development. While fans may never get to play this expansion, it serves as a reminder of the complexities and challenges that come with creating and releasing video game content.
