Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can now enjoy three new classic Game Boy titles as part of their subscription. The addition of Super Mario Land, Alleyway, and Baseball brings a fresh wave of nostalgia to fans of these retro games. Super Mario Land, in particular, stands out as the first Super Mario game not developed by series creator Shigeru Miyamoto. The game follows Mario as he embarks on a quest to rescue Princess Daisy from the alien invader Tatanga in the peculiar world of Sarasaland.

Alleyway, a Breakout-style game, challenges players to maneuver a panel to deflect a ball and destroy various grids. On the other hand, Baseball offers a straightforward sports gaming experience with two-player support. These titles add diversity to the Nintendo Switch Online library and cater to fans of different genres.

To access the Game Boy library on Nintendo Switch Online, subscribers can opt for the base subscription, which provides access to a wide range of classic games across various platforms. Individual memberships are priced at $4 USD for one month, $8 USD for three months, and $20 USD for a year. For families with multiple Nintendo Accounts, an annual family plan is available for $35 USD, covering up to eight accounts on different systems.

For additional perks, Nintendo offers an “Expansion Pack” tier, which includes access to classic Nintendo 64 and Game Boy Advance games. Subscribers also receive Sega Genesis titles and some Nintendo Switch DLC as part of this premium package. Recent additions for Expansion Pack subscribers include two new N64 games in April and the Game Boy Advance launch title F-Zero: Maximum Velocity in March.

Fans eagerly anticipating news about the upcoming Switch successor may have to wait a little longer. Despite an announcement of a new Nintendo Direct airing in June, company president Shuntaro Furukawa clarified that there would be no information on the next Switch console. This announcement has raised speculation and curiosity among the gaming community about what other exciting updates Nintendo may have in store for its loyal fan base.

The latest batch of classic Game Boy titles added to Nintendo Switch Online offers a mix of nostalgia and entertainment for subscribers. With a diverse selection of games and subscription options, Nintendo continues to cater to the preferences of its gaming community while keeping them engaged with new announcements and updates.
