The Mermaid Show is a part of the Night Market festival, running from Winter 15 to 17. Located on the pier just outside Willy’s shop, the Night Market operates from 5 PM to 2 AM over these three days, with the Mermaid Show closing at 12:30 AM. Situated on the eastern side of the pier, the Mermaid Show automatically starts when you enter and will restart if you leave and return. The entire show lasts 1 hour and 40 minutes of in-game time.
Once the Mermaid Show concludes, you will find yourself in a room facing 5 interactable shells arranged in a line. Each shell plays a musical note when interacted with, and the puzzle requires you to play the notes in the correct order. The solution to this puzzle is 1-5-4-2-3, with the leftmost shell being 1 and the rightmost being 5. The answer to this puzzle can be found in a Secret Note obtained by completing the Winter Mystery quest, available as early as Winter 1. However, having the note is not necessary to input the correct solution.
Upon successfully solving the puzzle, players are rewarded with a Pearl, a rare treasure that can only be obtained once per save file from the Mermaid Show. Pearls can be sold for 2,500G, providing a substantial monetary gain. Alternatively, they can be gifted to NPCs as a universally loved gift, making them a valuable asset even beyond their monetary value.
