Naoki Hamaguchi, the director of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, recently expressed his belief that Part 3 will go down in history as one of the best games ever made. During a live presentation titled ‘Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Summoning A Masterpiece’, Hamaguchi and producer Yoshinori Kitase discussed the development of the game. As the conversation shifted towards the future of the trilogy, both directors took the opportunity to hype up fans about the upcoming installment.

Kitase assured fans that the feedback received from the first two games would be carefully considered and integrated into the third game. He promised that the final installment would meet the fans’ expectations and expand upon the world of Final Fantasy 7 even further. Describing it as a “synergy” of nostalgia and new innovation, Kitase expressed his high hopes for the third game in the series.

While a release date for Part 3 has not been announced, Hamaguchi mentioned that Square Enix is contemplating switching development to Unreal Engine 5 to expedite the process. He highlighted the hard work being done by the development team and expressed his confidence that the final game would surpass all expectations. Hamaguchi boldly stated that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Part 3 will become one of the most cherished games in the history of video games.

Given the iconic status of the original Final Fantasy 7, it’s understandable why the development team is aiming for such ambitious goals. The success of the Remake and Rebirth installments, coupled with the unwavering dedication of the team, instills a sense of confidence in their ability to deliver a truly exceptional gaming experience. Despite the high expectations set by Hamaguchi and Kitase, the team remains focused on creating a game that will resonate with both old fans and new players alike.

While the groundwork for a groundbreaking release is in place, the team still faces challenges in tying together the intricate storyline and complex world that has evolved since the original game was released 27 years ago. The pressure to deliver a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy looms large, as fans eagerly anticipate the next chapter in the Final Fantasy 7 saga. Only time will tell if Hamaguchi’s bold predictions will come to fruition, as the development team continues to work tirelessly to make Part 3 a worthy successor to its predecessors.
