Disney Dreamlight Valley’s expansion, A Rift in Time, introduces new obstacles that players must overcome in order to progress. One such obstacle is the presence of copper rocks scattered throughout the world. Upgrading and using the Royal Pickaxe is essential for clearing these rocks. In this article, we will discuss the steps required to upgrade the pickaxe and remove both small and large copper rocks.
To begin removing small copper rocks, players must reach Jafar’s “The Flying Metal Nuisance” quest in A Rift in Time’s main story questline. This quest is available fairly early on in the game. Progressing through the questline will eventually lead to an upgrade of the Royal Pickaxe, allowing players to mine the small copper rocks found across Eternity Isle.
Clearing large copper rocks requires an upgrade to the Royal Hourglass. To achieve this, players must first obtain 5,000 Mist. Once enough Mist is obtained, players should head to any timebending table and select the option to upgrade the tool. This upgrade will enable players to discover Ancient Cores by timebending throughout the world.
With the Royal Hourglass upgraded to level 1, players can now craft the Large Copper Pickaxe Potion at the timebending table. The required materials for crafting the potion are as follows: Mist x3000, Ancient Core (Level 1) x1, Copper x40. Once all the materials have been collected, players can craft the potion, which will be applied automatically to the Royal Pickaxe. With the potion applied, players will then be able to clear away the large copper rocks scattered across Eternity Isle.
Upgrading the Royal Pickaxe and Royal Hourglass is crucial for removing copper rocks in Disney Dreamlight Valley’s A Rift in Time expansion. By completing Jafar’s questline, players can unlock the ability to mine small copper rocks. Additionally, upgrading the Royal Hourglass and crafting the Large Copper Pickaxe Potion will grant players the ability to clear large copper rocks. With this knowledge, players can now progress further in the game and explore all that Disney Dreamlight Valley has to offer.
