Bandai Namco has recently announced the return of Lili in Tekken 8. Lili, whose full name is Emilie De Rochefort, is a teenager from Monaco who has a passion for Lolita fashion and a graceful fighting style that resembles dancing. Lili is accompanied by her pet cat Salt, which complements the return of Leroy’s pet dog, Sugar.

Jasmin Darnell’s Contribution

Katsuhiro Harada, the series director, has acknowledged the work of Jasmin Darnell, a New Zealand-based artist who designed Lili’s new outfit. Harada has said that he met Darnell in 2017 and later ordered Lili’s costume design from her. Harada considers himself lucky to have ordered a design from Darnell before she became famous. Darnell specializes in historical and fairy tale-like fashion, with many of her looks featuring a lot of fantastical and feminine touches that seem inspired by 19th Century illustrations. Her work is a perfect match for Lili.
