A user on the game’s subreddit has reported a major game-breaking bug on Star Wars Jedi Survivor. The bug occurs once players reach “the chamber of duality and ride the elevator out”. Players must rest at a meditation site and save their progress, or if they die before the next save point, they will be sent back to the chamber where they will be trapped indefinitely. The bug has affected both PS5 and Xbox Series X players, and it seems that there is no way to exit the chamber. Fast travel is disabled at that meditation point, and the elevator does not open again.
Player Complaints
Many players have taken to social media to complain about the bug. Some have said that the only way to fix it is to start the game over. One player even said that they would be attempting to get a refund from Sony because they “literally can’t keep playing the game [they] paid $70 for”. The bug has caused frustration and anxiety for players who are worried about encountering another game-breaking bug.
EA’s Response
EA has confirmed that they are aware of the issue and are committed to fixing it as soon as possible. It seems that the bug is mostly affecting PC players with high-end machines or certain specific configurations. The Jedi team has offered thanks and apologies to any of its players experiencing these issues. However, this is just one of several issues currently plaguing the game. Thousands of players have left unhappy reviews on the game’s Steam page, leading to a “mixed” aggregate score from all the reviews submitted thus far.
Despite these issues, GamesRadar+ still gave the game a positive review. They wrote that “where it over-reaches, it does so out of an ambition so apparent that it leaps off the screen, but always manages to ground itself in a beautifully human story”. They also noted that the game establishes what could be the next great Star Wars hero and is certainly one of the best Star Wars games out there.
