The highly anticipated Season 2 of Invasions in Mortal Kombat 1 has finally arrived, bringing with it new challenges, themed fights, and exciting rewards. This season is centered around the character Nitara, played by Megan Fox, as she strives to establish vampires as the dominant rulers of the realms. As players progress through each stage, they will encounter fight encounter nodes that are obstructed by obstacles.
To clear these obstructions, players must decipher the cryptic clues associated with each encounter. These clues provide hints about what needs to be done during the fight in order to unlock the path. Many of these clues are anagrams that require careful decoding.
One of the early nodes, called “Sticks and Stones,” is located towards the Eastern end of the Fire Temple. To overcome the obstruction, players must decipher the clue “Body Blender,” which refers to Kenshi’s first fatality, “Blended.” The solution to this clue is to win the fight against Kenshi using Kenshi as the character and then perform the “Blended” fatality.
In the node “Top Killers,” players face a survival match against Baraka, Mileena, and Sindel, three formidable fighters in Mortal Kombat lore. The clue “Splish Splash” hints at the use of Rain, the water magician, in this battle. However, defeating the opponents is not enough; players must also utilize one of Rain’s Brutalities. This can be activated by finishing the match with an uppercut and holding down the corresponding button.
The node “Here We Go” on the Sun Do Festival Stage presents a fight with Reiko and Goro. The clue, “YZARK TIHSTAB” when read backwards, translates to “BATSHIT CRAZY.” In order to break the barricade, players need to defeat Reiko and perform Nitara’s fatality, Vaternus KomBAT, where she summons a swarm of bats. The button combination for this fatality is Down, Down, Back + [Square or X] in mid-range.
“Who’s Next” is another node featuring a fight with Smoke and Jax. The clue, “OMHE NRU,” is an anagram of “HOME RUN.” While players might assume it relates to General Shao and his signature hammer, the clue actually points to Darius Kameo’s fatality, “Armed & Dangerous.” To remove the barricade, players must perform this fatality on Smoke. The button combination for Armed & Dangerous is Down, Back, Forward, + [R1 or RB] in mid-range.
Season 2 of Invasions in Mortal Kombat 1 brings a thrilling new chapter to the game, with Nitara as the focal point. The exciting challenges and cryptic clues add depth and intrigue to the gameplay, while the themed fights provide intense battles against iconic characters. By deciphering the clues and mastering the required moves, players can progress through the stages, unlock rewards, and immerse themselves in the Season of Blood.
