If you are a PlayStation Plus subscriber, you have until May 9 to claim 19 games in the PS Plus Collection, after which the offer will end. These games will remain in your digital library for as long as you keep your PS Plus subscription. Sony has not made it easy to see the PS Plus Collection in one place, and gamers are advised to search for each game individually.
PS Plus Collection and Other Subscriptions
The PS Plus Collection predates newer subscription tiers, such as Essentials, Extra, and Premium, which have their own collections via the Game Catalog, Classics Catalog, and Cloud Streaming Catalog. The PS Plus Collection features 19 games, although Persona 5 has been removed. Some of these games are not available through the newer catalogs, making it doubly worthwhile to claim them before May 9.
Gamers can access the PS Plus Collection even on an Essentials subscription, as long as they have added the games to their digital library. However, some games are only available on Extra or Premium subscriptions. For instance, Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 are not available on any subscription, while Mortal Kombat 10 is not available, but Mortal Kombat 11 can be found in the Extra subscription.
