Nintendo has once again expanded its Switch Online retro service by adding three new titles to the Super Nintendo library. The latest additions include Wrecking Crew ’98, Amazing Hebereke, and Super R-Type.

While the lineup for the U.S. library consists of Wrecking Crew ’98, Amazing Hebereke, and Super R-Type, Japan’s lineup features different titles such as Battletoads: Battlemaniacs and Marvelous: Mōhitotsu no Takarajima. This update provides players with a diverse selection of games to choose from.

Wrecking Crew ’98 is an action puzzler game that features Mario wielding his Wrecking Crew hammer. Players can choose between the original Wrecking Crew or the updated Wrecking Crew ’98, each offering unique challenges to solve. With 100 stages to conquer, players must navigate obstacles while destroying walls and ladders. In Wrecking Crew ’98, players must strategically arrange panels to match colors and launch powerful attacks on opponents.

Developed by Sunsoft, Amazing Hebereke was originally released for the Super Famicom system in 1994 and is now making its U.S. debut. Players can engage in cute and chaotic battles in single-player mode or with up to four players in VS. mode. Each character has special attacks to unleash, and players must strategize to outlast their opponents on stages filled with items and traps.

Super R-Type takes players on a galactic battle against the evil BYDO Empire. As the R-9, players must defend Earth by navigating through seven challenging stages filled with powerful foes and level bosses. By collecting power-up items along the way, players can enhance their firepower and increase their chances of survival. With different difficulty options available, from NOVICE to PRO mode, players can customize their gaming experience.

The latest additions to the Switch Online Super Nintendo library offer a mix of classic and lesser-known titles for players to enjoy. Whether players prefer puzzle-solving, chaotic battles, or intense space battles, there is something for everyone in this latest update. Nintendo continues to provide a diverse and engaging retro gaming experience for Switch Online subscribers.
