Capcom has recently announced that the popular action-platformer game, MEGA MAN X DiVE, will be receiving an “offline” version for PC and mobile devices. Set to release on August 31st, this new version will bring the game’s exciting gameplay and immersive world to players who prefer to play without an internet connection.
Unfortunately, there are currently no plans to bring the “offline” version of MEGA MAN X DiVE to the Nintendo Switch. However, it’s worth noting that a datamine of the game’s client in 2021 revealed strings of code referencing the Nintendo Switch, suggesting that there may be a possibility of a Switch release in the future. As of now, the game is confirmed for PC and mobile devices only.
MEGA MAN X DiVE Offline will feature over 900 stages and more than 100 playable characters. Players will have the opportunity to control fan-favorite characters such as X, Zero, Axl, Alia, Vile, and many more. The game will also introduce a storyline centered around a game data glitch that has corrupted the Deep Log, inviting players to embark on a digitized journey through the Mega Man X universe and restore cyberspace to order.
However, it’s important to note that the “offline” version will not include the online features found in the original game, such as co-op and battle mode. Collaborative content from other Capcom series has also been left out, providing a different experience for players who prefer a more solo-focused gameplay.
MEGA MAN X DiVE Offline will offer a variety of game modes for players to enjoy:
Story Mode: Blast through a wide variety of stages, earning experience points to level up characters and weapons. Immerse yourself in the gripping narrative of the Mega Man X universe as you fight against Mavericks and save the Deep Log.
Event Mode: Play additional story and sub-story stages based on fan-favorite Mega Man games. Dive deeper into the lore and explore new challenges and adventures.
Challenge Mode: Conquer difficult missions, such as time trials, as you progress through the levels of the data-verse. Travel up the Jakob Orbital Elevator, facing intense challenges and proving your skills.
