Marvel’s Midnight Suns is welcoming Storm, a long-time X-Men leader, to its roster in its latest DLC pack, Blood Storm, which is set to release on May 11th. This weather-controlling mutant will join the game’s lineup with new missions, hero outfits, and upgrades to The Abbey.
Blood Storm DLC Pack
Players can purchase the Blood Storm DLC pack separately or as part of the Season Pass, which includes previously released DLC characters like Deadpool, Venom, and Morbius. Storm’s inclusion marks the conclusion of the current post-launch plans and story, offering players a “final showdown against an age-old monster of myth” upon completing all the missions.
Director’s Goodbye
The Blood Storm DLC pack also marks the end of Firaxis director Jake Solomon’s tenure with the studio. Solomon is leaving to pursue the life sim genre, but he bid farewell to the game with a tweet, saying that Storm is “one of my favourite characters of all time.”
Storm’s inclusion in Marvel’s Midnight Suns adds to the game’s already impressive roster and gameplay. The game offers both strategy battling and social elements of befriending heroes. Katharine, in her review of Marvel’s Midnight Suns, called it the best Marvel game yet. The game is available on Steam and The Epic Games Store for £50/$60/€60, and the Blood Storm pack will cost £12 upon release. The game will also launch on last-gen Xbox and Playstation consoles on May 11th, while the Nintendo Switch version has been cancelled.
