Nintendo Direct showcase has been one of the most awaited events for gamers, and this year’s showcase brought many exciting announcements for gamers. Among these announcements, Twin Sails Interactive revealed a first look at Gloomhaven, a fantasy-based tactical RPG that will be available on Nintendo Switch from September 18th.

Gameplay and Features

Gloomhaven is an adaptation of Isaac Childres’ board game, which offers players a chance to embark on a fantasy campaign with strategic gameplay. Players can choose to play through either the original 95 scenarios and event missions or the digital-exclusive Guildmaster campaign that consists of over 160 missions.

To add more excitement, the game will launch with two DLC packs, ‘Jaws of the Lion’ and ‘Solo Scenarios: Mercenary Challenges.’ All of these packs are available to play with up to four-player online co-op.

The game’s strategic gameplay allows players to choose their heroes and equip them with unique abilities and items. The heroes then embark on a journey to explore the world and fight off enemies in turn-based combat.

Pre-Order and Pricing

Gloomhaven is now available for pre-order from the Switch eShop with a special 10% pre-launch discount. The Mercenaries Edition of the game is priced at £32.39 (usually £35.99) and includes the base game and the ‘Solo Scenarios’ DLC. The Gold Edition is priced at £40.49 (usually £44.99) and also includes the ‘Jaws of the Lion’ DLC and four accompanying skins.

For a closer look at what the game has to offer, the publishers have released some screenshots that showcase the game’s graphics and gameplay mechanics.
