Funko Fusion, the first game developed by 10:10 Games, has released a new trailer showcasing a multiplayer mashup featuring characters from various popular Universal franchises like Jurassic World, Back to the Future, The Thing, and Masters of the Universe.
Gameplay and Features
Funko Pop versions of “dozens” of playable characters will be available in the game, each with their own unique set of skills and personalities. The game will support online multiplayer, allowing up to four players to collaborate and solve puzzles while battling. The game is slated for release in 2024 on both PC and consoles.
Funko boss Dolly Ahluwalia announced that the game will have its “initial release” in early 2024, implying that the game may use a live-service model with future updates. Funko Fusion’s developer, 10:10 Games, was founded in 2021 and led by Jon Burton, the former TT Games boss who was accused of berating employees. Burton left TT Games in 2019.
Despite working with different brands, Funko Fusion primarily focuses on incorporating NBCUniversal stories and franchises. The game’s licensing and use of various characters from different franchises could have been a challenge, but the game’s developers have found a way to incorporate the iconic characters seamlessly.
