Acer has recently unveiled its first 14-inch gaming laptops, the Nitro 14 and Predator Helios Neo 14. These new additions to Acer’s lineup are generating excitement, especially as they offer competitive pricing and specifications compared to other popular models on the market.

Starting at $1,299.99, the Nitro 14 can be configured with impressive hardware, including an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS processor, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card, 32GB of LPDDR5X SDRAM, and 1TB of NVME SSD memory. Moreover, it features a 120Hz G-Sync display with resolution options of 2560 x 1600 or 1920 x 1200.

On the other hand, the Predator Helios Neo 14 is a higher-end model that starts at $1,799.99. It boasts an Intel Ultra 9 185H processor, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card, and three display options: 3072 x 1920 at 165Hz, 2560 x 1600 at 120Hz, or 1920 x 1200 at 120Hz. Like the Nitro 14, it also supports Nvidia Advanced Optimus technology.

In addition to the 14-inch models, Acer is also introducing an updated Nitro 16. Priced at $1,399.99, this laptop can be configured with either an Nvidia RTX 4060 or an AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS processor. It offers up to 2TB of storage and up to 32GB of DDR5 SDRAM. The Nitro 16 comes with either a 2560 x 1600 or 1920 x 1200 display panel with Nvidia Advanced Optimus.

One notable feature of these new laptops is the use of liquid metal thermal interface material between the CPU and cooling block. This innovation helps to lower thermal temperatures more effectively than traditional thermal paste. Moreover, Acer has implemented an Experience Zone in all four models, providing access to a variety of AI-related functions with the press of a button. Additionally, the laptops come with a dedicated Microsoft Copilot key on the keyboard and a free month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

The Nitro 14, Predator Helios Neo 14, and both AMD and Intel versions of the Nitro 16 are set to be available in North America in May. However, for customers in the EMEA region, the Nitro 14 and Predator Helios Neo 14 will arrive in June 2024, with prices starting at €1,199 each. The Intel-version Nitro 16 will also be available at the same time for €1,599.

Overall, Acer’s new 14-inch gaming laptops offer a compelling combination of performance, features, and affordability. With competitive pricing and cutting-edge specifications, these laptops are sure to attract gamers and tech enthusiasts alike.
