United Label has officially announced that the highly anticipated hack ‘n’ slash sequel, Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter, will be available for the Nintendo Switch in February 2025. The game was recently featured during Microsoft’s Gamescom broadcast, showcasing a new trailer filled with captivating gameplay footage and an engaging narration by Witcher voice actor Doug Cockle.
The trailer for Tails of Iron 2 describes the game as a blend of “half Witcher, half Game of Thrones,” promising an exciting experience for fans of both franchises. The game maintains the brutal combat mechanics of its predecessor while introducing stunning stylized visuals and impressive use of lighting and color.
The expanded campaign in Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter follows Arlo’s relentless battle against the fearsome Dark Wing Bats, offering players an intense journey through a semi-open RPG world spanning six diverse biomes. Additionally, players can expect to encounter new animal factions throughout the game.
Building upon the series’ reputation for challenging combat, Tails of Iron 2 introduces enhanced weapons gameplay, featuring four elemental effects – fire, ice, electricity, and poison. Players can strategically imbue Arlo’s arsenal with these unique abilities to gain an advantage over their adversaries.
A new aspect of gameplay in Tails of Iron 2 is the addition of monster hunting. Players will have the opportunity to track down and defeat 15 colossal beasts, collecting rare upgrade materials from their remains. This feature adds an exciting new dimension to the game’s core mechanics.
