Blizzard announced that the latest patch notes for Diablo 4 are now live. The update, patch 1.0.2d, includes balance adjustments to classes, stability fixes, and crash fixes. The blog update details the changes that have been introduced to the game, which include a nerf to Barbarian and a big buff for Necromancer mains.

Balance Adjustments to Classes

The Diablo 4 team explains that while it is “quite happy with the performance of our Classes” overall, it “knows there is always room for improvement.” The patch notes explain that they want players to feel powerful, but some Class builds and synergies are outside of their bounds for what is reasonable for the health of the game. Consequently, Barbarians will see their Challenging Shout damage reduction gained from Skill Ranks halved, and the Aspect of the Dire Whirlwind increased critical strike chance per second nerfed. The explosive damage gained from Whirlwind has also been reduced. Your maximum cooldown reduction for Blood Chieftain’s Aspect has also been nerfed.

Buffs for Necromancer Mains

The patch notes also include a big buff for Necromancer mains. Their Blood Lance damage gets a boost, and Army of the Dead gets a buff and a cooldown reduction. Blood Wave damage is also boosted. The changes aim to make Necromancers more powerful and competitive in the game.

Miscellaneous Fixes

The latest patch notes also include “miscellaneous stability and crash fixes.” One notable fix is a solution to the issue where a Sorcerer’s Deep Freeze makes others permanently stunned if they are also at the mercy of another freezing effect. The fixes aim to improve the overall gameplay experience and make the game more enjoyable for players.

The latest patch notes for Diablo 4 bring a mix of changes to the game, including balance adjustments to classes, buffs for Necromancer mains, and miscellaneous fixes. While the changes may not be significant, they aim to improve the overall gameplay experience and make the game more enjoyable for players. Diablo 4 players can check out the official website for the full list of tweaks and changes. Despite some players crashing out of early runs following glitches and bugs, it looks like hardcore Diablo 4 players will be crossing the line to be one of the first 1000 players to hit level 100 on hardcore mode later today.
