CD Projekt Red confirmed in a follow-up tweet that fans will indeed be able to play the game “before the release.” This means that community members will be invited to various locations for a hands-on session, according to CDPR senior community manager Amelia “Lilayah” Kołat. More information about these sessions will be announced at a later date.
It is rare for a major video game developer to invite fans from the general public to in-person demo sessions for upcoming projects, so CD Projekt Red’s decision to do so is definitely a unique move. However, it is currently unclear whether these sessions will be ticketed events or free for anyone with an invite. It is also unknown how fans will be able to secure an invite for themselves.
Fans of Cyberpunk 2077 are no doubt excited about the opportunity to try out the upcoming Phantom Liberty DLC before it is released. The hands-on sessions promise to give fans a taste of what’s to come in the highly anticipated expansion. Stay tuned for more information about these sessions and how to secure an invite.
