Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, the highly anticipated sequel to the cult series, will finally arrive on PC and consoles on August 25, 2023. FromSoftware and Bandai Namco announced the release date in a new gameplay trailer that showcases the game’s intense mech action-combat.
The game’s story remains shrouded in mystery, but it appears to follow the series’ tradition of battling machines to restore peace. The trailer features flashy explosions, intimidating bosses, and laser-filled mech skirmishes that are sure to entice both newcomers and fans of FromSoftware’s hard-hitting combat mechanics and worldbuilding prowess.
Apart from the release date, FromSoftware and Bandai Namco also unveiled the Collector’s and Premium Editions for those who prefer physical game releases. The Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon Collector’s Edition includes a steelbook case, a mech figurine, an art book, badges, a digital soundtrack, and stickers. Meanwhile, the top-tier Premium Edition comes with all the Collector’s Edition items plus a 32-centimetre garage for the mech figurine.
While the special editions are not yet available for preorder, fans can now preorder the base game. After nearly a decade since the release of the last Armored Core game, FromSoftware’s mech franchise is finally making a comeback, and it’s sure to satisfy fans’ long wait for a revival.
