The survey focuses on various aspects of the game, including the players’ favorite characters. With 1,290 participants, this survey provides a glimpse into the opinions of a portion of the game’s massive player base.

According to the survey results, Princess Zelda reigns supreme as the fans’ favorite character, receiving 657 votes. Link, the game’s protagonist and beloved hero, comes in a close second with 515 votes. The contrasting popularity between the two main characters highlights the enduring appeal of the Zelda franchise and the deep connection players feel with these iconic personalities. Surprisingly, the antagonist Ganondorf only manages to secure the eighth spot with a mere 95 votes. This demonstrates the strong preference for the protagonists among the survey participants.

The survey also sheds light on other notable characters in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. While Zelda and Link dominate the top positions, the supporting cast also garnered significant recognition. Tulin, a mysterious and enigmatic character, captures the attention and admiration of 239 voters. Likewise, Sidon, Riju, and Purah emerge as beloved characters with their own fan bases, receiving 220, 168, and 161 votes respectively. These characters bring depth and diversity to the game, further enhancing the overall experience for players.

Beyond the characters, the Famitsu survey explores players’ preferences regarding the game’s environment. The survey reveals that the majority of participants favor the Surface as the best field in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, with 58.8% of the votes. However, the Sky and The Depths also receive recognition, capturing 22.6% and 18.6% of the votes respectively. This indicates that the developers have successfully crafted diverse and captivating settings, each with its own allure and sense of adventure.

The survey dives deeper into the game’s enemies, specifically focusing on the ones that left the biggest impression on players. Gloom Spawn emerges as the most memorable enemy, with 252 votes, followed closely by Gleeok with 206 votes. The survey also explores players’ favorite abilities and Zonai devices within the game. Ultrahand stands out as the most favored ability, securing 31.4% of the votes. Among the Zonai devices, the Fan and Steering Stick prove to be the most popular choices, receiving 680 and 637 votes respectively. These findings suggest that players enjoy the versatility and functionality offered by these abilities and devices, adding depth and strategy to their gameplay.
