Universal Orlando Resort has recently announced the addition of the Universal Helios Grand Hotel to its lineup of resorts, set to open in 2025 at the upcoming Epic Universe theme park. Named after the Greek god of the sun, Helios promises a luxurious and immersive experience for guests.

One standout feature of the Helios Grand Hotel is its prime location within the park, boasting its own dedicated entrance to Epic Universe. Guests staying at Helios, as well as other Universal hotels, will enjoy early park admission and access to a complimentary shuttle bus for convenience.

Teaming up with Loews Hotels, Universal has crafted a Mediterranean-inspired oasis with gardens and water fixtures surrounding the hotel. The resort is described as “palatial,” blending immersion and relaxation seamlessly. The lobby features floor-to-ceiling windows offering a view of the new Celestial Park at Epic Universe, while the rooms are designed to evoke tranquility and bliss.

The Helios Grand Hotel offers a range of amenities, including a gym, game room, store, and a full-service restaurant called Flora Taverna serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Additionally, guests can enjoy a coffee shop named Aurora Market, as well as a rooftop lounge, Bar Helios, offering panoramic views of Epic Universe. The hotel also includes a pool area with underwater speakers, cabanas, a hot tub, and poolside movies, alongside a bar and grill called Lotus Lagoon.

While pricing details for rooms and suites at Helios have not been disclosed, it’s expected that this luxury experience will come at a premium cost. With the addition of Helios, Universal now boasts a total of 11 hotels with 11,000 rooms across all properties. The introduction of Helios is part of Universal’s rebranding efforts for its various hotel offerings, including the Signature Collection, Prime Value line, and Value Inns and Suites.

Universal’s launch of Helios comes as its rival, Disney World, plans significant updates and changes, including a revamp of Magic Kingdom. With the addition of the Universal Helios Grand Hotel, guests can look forward to a truly lavish and unforgettable stay at the Epic Universe theme park.
