Inti Creates, the Japanese developer known for creating the Gunvolt series, has announced that they will be taking a break from the series. However, Inti Creates CEO Takuya Aizu has teased a new project, giving fans something to look forward to.
Gunvolt Series Comes to a Close for Now
When a fan asked about future Gunvolt projects, Aizu revealed that the series has come to a close “for now.” He clarified that this does not necessarily mean that the Gunvolt series has ceased entirely, but rather that they will be moving on from it for the time being.
According to a translation by Noisy Pixel, Aizu said, “Thank you very much! I’m glad that you have been playing since Mega Man Zero. The Gunvolt series has come to a close for now, but I think it’s time to start thinking about future developments. Although it is not Gunvolt, please look forward to our completely new project!”
Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 Still Worth Playing
For fans of the Gunvolt series, it may be disappointing to hear that there won’t be any new Gunvolt games for a while. However, if you haven’t played Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 yet, it’s definitely worth a look. Released on the Switch last July, the game has received several updates since its release. We gave it a solid eight out of ten stars and called it another cracking Mega Man Zero-like game.
While it’s uncertain what Inti Creates’ new project will be, fans can rest assured that the developer is not done creating exciting games. With a proven track record of creating quality games, it’s safe to say that whatever they have planned will be worth the wait.
