Summerfall Studios, creators of the popular game Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical, have announced that the long-awaited DLC, Stray Gods: Orpheus, will be launching simultaneously across all platforms. This means that gamers on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC will all have access to the expanded musical experience on the same day.
The Orpheus DLC will center around the character of Orpheus, who finds himself thrust back into the world of the living by Hermes, despite seemingly completing his story. Players can expect to make crucial decisions throughout the game, including who Orpheus will interact with romantically. The voice talents of Anthony Rapp and Erika Ishii, reprising their roles from the original game, promise to bring a new level of emotion to the gameplay experience.
One of the highlights of Stray Gods: Orpheus will be the six new songs featured in the game, all composed by Austin Wintory with lyrics by Simon Hall, Montaigne, and Tom Cardy. Given the success and critical acclaim of the original game, which was even nominated for a Grammy, expectations are high for this new DLC. The release date is set for June 27, 2024, and fans can anticipate a “feature length” experience that delves deeper into the world of Orpheus.
With its multi-platform release and promise of extended gameplay, Stray Gods: Orpheus is poised to capture the attention of gamers across various platforms. The immersive storyline, captivating characters, and exceptional musical scores are sure to draw players in and keep them engaged throughout the gameplay experience. As fans eagerly await the release date, the hype surrounding this DLC continues to grow, promising an unforgettable gaming experience for all.
