Arrowhead Game Studios, the developer behind the popular game Helldivers 2, is currently working on a solution to address the issue of players getting unfairly booted from missions. Recently, viral clips have been circulating showing players getting kicked during extraction or even during the cutscene that plays when the team is onboard the escape shuttle. This kind of behavior is not uncommon in online multiplayer games, and unfortunately, even the cooperative forces of Super Earth are not exempt from dealing with turncoats and griefers.

In response to the growing problem of unfair kicks, the Helldivers 2 community has been vocal about their concerns. Community manager Twinbeard acknowledged the issue in the Helldivers 2 Discord channel and reassured players that a solution is in the works. While the specifics of the fix are still being developed, players have been suggesting various ideas to address the problem. One suggestion draws inspiration from the game Deep Rock Galactic, which rewards kicked players with a portion of the XP and resources they collected during the mission. Another proposed solution involves implementing a reputation system, where players can rate each other at the end of missions to match well-behaved divers with similar players and isolate trolls and griefers.

While Arrowhead Game Studios has not provided a timeline for when the fix will be implemented, the community remains hopeful that a solution will be in place soon. The proposed ideas from players show that there is a desire for a fair and enjoyable gameplay experience in Helldivers 2. By addressing the issue of unfair kicks, the developer can help foster a more positive and cooperative online community for all players involved.
