Nvidia is continually improving its experimental ChatRTX chatbot by introducing more AI models for RTX GPU owners. This update is aimed at enhancing the user experience and making it easier for users to analyze and search through their local documents and photos.

New AI Models

The ChatRTX chatbot, which operates locally on a Windows PC, now supports additional AI models such as Google’s Gemma, ChatGLM3, and OpenAI’s CLIP. These models expand the capabilities of the chatbot, allowing users to search their photos and analyze personal documents more effectively.

Nvidia initially launched ChatRTX as “Chat with RTX” earlier this year as a demo app. To run the chatbot, users will need an RTX 30- or 40-series GPU with 8GB of VRAM or more. The app functions as a local chatbot server accessible via a browser, providing users with a powerful search tool for their local data, including summaries and answers to questions.

Google’s Gemma model is now compatible with ChatRTX and is designed to run efficiently on powerful laptops or desktop PCs. Its integration into the chatbot simplifies the process of running complex AI models locally, providing users with a seamless experience. With Gemma, users can effectively search through their data and retrieve relevant information.

In addition to Google’s Gemma, ChatRTX now supports ChatGLM3, a bilingual language model that caters to both English and Chinese speakers. This inclusion expands the chatbot’s language capabilities, making it more accessible to a diverse user base. Furthermore, OpenAI’s CLIP model enables users to search and interact with local photo data, training the model to recognize images effectively.

Voice Query Support

Nvidia is also updating ChatRTX to support voice queries using Whisper, an AI speech recognition system. This feature allows users to search their data using their voice, adding a new dimension to the user experience and making the chatbot more intuitive and user-friendly.

Nvidia’s continuous efforts to enhance the ChatRTX chatbot by introducing new AI models and features demonstrate their commitment to providing users with innovative tools for data analysis and search. With the addition of Google’s Gemma, ChatGLM3, OpenAI’s CLIP, and voice query support, the chatbot offers a comprehensive solution for users looking to streamline their data management processes.
