The upcoming game from Kaizen Game Works, Promise Mascot Agency, is set to be a one-of-a-kind experience. Described as the “world’s first (and best) open world mascot management crime drama,” the game combines elements of open-world exploration, mascot management, and crime drama in a way that is sure to captivate players.

In Promise Mascot Agency, players take on the role of an exiled yakuza lieutenant banished to a cursed Japanese town. Their mission? To restore an old rundown mascot agency that caters to Japanese mascots who are down on their luck. The game introduces players to a variety of misfit mascots, such as a cube of tofu named To-Fu whose greatest nemesis is a “Normal Sized Door.”

Managing Mascots

As the sole operator of Promise Mascot Agency, players are tasked with recruiting and managing these quirky mascots. From training and managing stress levels to helping them overcome challenges like fitting through doors, players must navigate the unique desires and quirks of each mascot. Some mascots may be motivated by money or fame, while others may have more unconventional wishes, such as wanting to see the world burn in glorious hellfire.

Aside from managing mascots, players can explore the town of Kaso-Machi in a beatdown but upgradeable flying truck, with their mascot sidekick Pinky along for the ride. Along the way, players will encounter a cast of eccentric characters and earn new Hero Cards to aid them in their adventures. And when things get too weird, players can always take a relaxing plunge in the local onsen.
