The latest season of Fortnite Festival has introduced some exciting changes with the introduction of a new Festival Pass and a collaboration with Billie Eilish for an exclusive Icon skin. One of the major updates is the support for guitar controllers, allowing players to enhance their gameplay experience with a new way to interact with the game. The Festival Pass has been revamped to align more closely with event passes, offering players a new way to unlock exclusive skins and styles by purchasing the premium pass for 1800 V-Bucks.

Players who opt for the premium Festival Pass will instantly unlock the Green Roots Billie skin, along with the opportunity to earn an exclusive Ultraviolet style at the end of the pass. This new style is a departure from previous passes, as Epic has stated that it will only be obtainable through the Season 3 Festival Pass and will not be available in the item shop in the future. To progress through the pass, players can complete Festival quests while playing, earning a free track of rewards that includes jam tracks and the Lavatronik Bass.

Upgrading to the premium track of the Festival pass unlocks additional rewards, such as the Billie Eilish-themed keytar and mic stand, along with four new jam tracks and a variety of cosmetics. The new jam tracks featured on the premium track include popular songs like “Oxytocin” by Billie Eilish, “Friday I’m In Love” by The Cure, “Youngblood” by 5 Seconds of Summer, and “Maps” by Maroon 5. While Eilish currently only has one skin available with the Festival pass, Epic has promised that she will receive a new Item Shop skin later in the season.

In addition to the exclusive Festival pass rewards, Billie Eilish fans can look forward to three new jam tracks available for purchase in the shop: “Happier Than Ever,” “Therefore I am,” and “all the good girls go to hell.” Two new emotes, “bad guy” and “you should see me in a crown,” have also been added to the game. The lack of capital letters in the emote names is a nod to Gen Z culture, adding a modern touch to the in-game content.

One of the most significant updates for Season 3 is the addition of support for guitar controllers in Fortnite Festival. Players can now use three different guitar controllers, including the Rock Band 4 Fender Stratocaster, Rock Band 4 Fender Jaguar, and the PDP Riffmaster R controller. Guitar controllers offer a new way to play the game, with separate charts and leaderboards for guitar and bass parts of songs. Epic has hinted at the possibility of adding support for plastic drums in the future, expanding the range of instrument controllers available for players to use.

Overall, the latest season of Fortnite Festival brings a host of new features and updates for players to enjoy. From exclusive skins and styles to new music tracks and emotes, there is something for everyone to discover in Season 3. With the addition of guitar controller support, players can look forward to a fresh gameplay experience and the opportunity to showcase their skills in a whole new way. Keep an eye out for more announcements from Epic as they continue to evolve the Fortnite Festival experience.
