The popular vampire survival game, V Rising, has been in early access for a number of years now, and developers Stunlock have announced a significant price increase leading up to the game’s full 1.0 launch. The price is set to almost double from $19.99 to $34.99, starting on April 5th. This price hike is justified by the amount of content and development effort that has gone into the game over its two years in early access. Stunlock emphasized that the initial lower price was set when the game was still in development, and as it nears its full release, the price is being adjusted to reflect the game’s value.

Game Improvements and Updates

Throughout its time in early access, V Rising has undergone significant changes and improvements. Players have seen reworks to the magic system, the addition of new areas inspired by various creatures outside of vampires, and expansions to the array of creatures and bosses in the game. Additionally, players now have the ability to build their own castles within the game. The upcoming 1.0 release, scheduled for May 5th, promises even more enhancements, such as adjustments to endgame PvP, revamped armor and gear for improved class specialization, and upgrades to visuals and performance. Stunlock has assured players that development will continue beyond the 1.0 release, with plans for additional features and content updates in the future.

Value for Money

Despite the price increase, Stunlock is confident that players will continue to find V Rising worth the investment, given the extensive updates and upcoming features. The game is set to receive a significant update at the 1.0 launch, including a special Castlevania crossover event. Players who purchase the game before the price increase on April 5th will still receive all future updates and content at the original price. Additionally, the cost of DLC packs will remain unchanged, providing players with the option to purchase additional content at their own pace.

With the game already offering a wealth of gameplay experiences and more on the horizon, V Rising continues to attract new and existing players alike. The increased price reflects the hard work and dedication of the development team in improving and expanding the game over the years. As V Rising prepares for its full release, players can look forward to a more polished and feature-rich experience that promises to deliver on its value proposition.
