Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is a thrilling game that takes players on a journey filled with wonder, mystery, and challenging puzzles. One particular puzzle, known as the Sacred Archives time puzzle, requires players to use cloned versions of their character, Sargon, in order to progress. In this guide, we will explore how to solve this brain teaser and unlock the Clairvoyance skill.
The Sacred Archives time puzzle is part of a main quest called the Path to the Sands Prison. In order to break a seal and progress through this quest, players need to acquire a few new abilities. The puzzle chamber is located in the western portion of the Sacred Archives zone. Upon reaching this chamber, players will encounter walls blocking their path, forcing them to find an alternative route. By following the corridors heading west, then south and east, players will eventually reach the bottom section of the chamber.
To solve the Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Sacred Archives puzzle, players must make use of Sargon’s clones. The puzzle consists of three rounds, each requiring specific moves and actions. Here is a summary of the steps:
First Round
– Jump and pull either the left or right lever on the wall and remain in that position.
Second Round
– Jump and pull the remaining lever and stay in that position.
Third Round
– Proceed to the unlocked cell, as the path should now be clear, and collect the tablet.
It is important to note that this is the simplest puzzle out of the four and serves as an introduction to this particular mechanic.
The following puzzles in the Sacred Archives pose more challenges, requiring players to utilize their strategic thinking and agility.
First Variant
– Traverse the room and reach the top-left corner. Use the Shadow of the Simurgh power to create a copy of Sargon.
– Activate Shadow of the Simurgh to teleport Sargon back to the previous spot and continue upwards.
– Finally, wait until the cell door is opened.
Second Variant
– Pull the lower-right lever and remain in that position until there are approximately five seconds left on the clock.
– Jump back down and step on the floor plate.
– Wall-jump and grab the upper-left lever and stay in that position.
– If the timing is precise, Sargon should be able to wall-jump and reach the open cell and the tablet.
Third Variant
– Quickly run down below and perform an air dash to the right of the emerging platform.
– Use the Shadow of the Simurgh to create a copy of Sargon and step on the floor plate.
– Move to the lower chamber and wait for the platform to emerge.
– Go to the top of this section, pull the lever to create another wall, and reactivate Shadow of the Simurgh.
– Teleport to the ledge and wall-jump to the top.
Upon completing all the Sacred Archives time puzzles in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, players are rewarded with the Clairvoyance time power. This ability allows players to turn transparent objects into solid ones and vice versa. Clairvoyance can create platforms to cross chasms, ledges for climbing, or gaps for unhindered passage.
