Free Content Galore
The excitement doesn’t end there. Gameloft has also announced that more free content will be making its way to Disney Dreamlight Valley in the future. Sulley and Mike from Monsters Inc. are set to join the magical village at the start of 2024, followed by Mulan, Tiana, and Daisy Duck, alongside other new villagers. This influx of beloved characters will undoubtedly bring new adventures and stories to explore within the game. In a thrilling partnership with Apple, Disney Dreamlight Valley will also be available on mobile devices through Apple Arcade, starting December 2023. With the launch on Apple Arcade, players can embark on their dreamy quests anywhere, anytime. However, it’s important to note that this version will not include Star Path seasons or Premium Shop content, as Apple Arcade does not support microtransactions.
The Rift in Time: A Voyage into the Unknown
For those seeking an even more immersive experience, the paid expansion DLC, A Rift in Time, will introduce a fresh quest line centered around The Eternity Isle. This new location, inspired by the enchanting Agrabah from Aladdin, boasts its own unique desert and jungle biomes, offering players fascinating landscapes to explore. The Eternity Isle will be about the same size as the base game, extending Dreamlight Valley’s world to new horizons. As adventurers venture into this uncharted territory, they will encounter new animals to befriend, uncover fresh ingredients for delectable recipes, and collect valuables for crafting.
To aid in the search for hidden treasures, A Rift in Time introduces a new tool called the hourglass. This mystical device opens up opportunities to discover secret treasures scattered throughout The Eternity Isle. Additionally, special automation machines for crafting and cooking will make their debut in Dreamlight Valley, streamlining the process and making it easier than ever for players to create magical items and dishes.
A Battle Against Time and Evil
The plot of A Rift in Time revolves around the malevolent Jafar, who seeks to conquer time and space using powerful magical artifacts. Players will need to complete a series of quests to thwart Jafar’s nefarious plans and persuade him to embrace a more peaceful existence. Divided into three major story arcs, the quests will be housed within: “Welcome to Eternity Isle” launching on December 5, 2023, “The Spark of Imagination” launching in Spring 2024 (Northern Hemisphere), and “Treasures of Time” launching in Summer 2024 (Northern Hemisphere). Along this treacherous journey, three new villagers will stand by the players’ side: Gaston of Beauty and the Beast, EVE of Wall-E, and Rapunzel of Tangled.
