The gaming world is always evolving, and EA Sports is no exception. With the release of FIFA 24, the popular football game has undergone some major changes, particularly when it comes to its legendary players. In previous iterations, Prime and Mid Icons dominated the scene, but FC 24 Base Icons have now taken center stage, ushering in a new era for FIFA enthusiasts.

In the past, Icons were categorized into Prime and Mid versions, making it difficult for players to keep track of their favorite football legends. However, EA Sports recognized the need for a more streamlined approach, thus introducing FC 24 Base Icons. These new Base cards replace the Prime and Mid versions, providing players with a standardized way to collect and utilize their favorite Icons.

The introduction of FC 24 Base Icons brings with it a wave of fresh faces. This year, there are eight newcomers to the list, including legendary figures such as Bobby Charlton, Mia Hamm, Zico, and Franck Ribery. These additions, along with the inclusion of FC 24 Heroes like John Arne Riise and Alex Scott, mean that more than 20 past greats have been added to this year’s game, much to the excitement of fans.

While FC 24 Base Icons are the foundation of this new era, EA Sports has also promised additional cards to be released throughout the season as part of special promotions. Similar to last year’s FIFA 23 Trophy Titans, these promos will allow players to acquire even more Base Icons, further expanding their repertoire of football legends. The ever-growing roster is a testament to EA Sports’ commitment to providing a dynamic and evolving gaming experience.

With the introduction of FC 24 Base Icons, some changes have been made to the existing roster. Three players from the FIFA 23 Base Icons list have been downgraded to Heroes items. Jari Litmanen and Rui Costa no longer hold the status of Base Icons, while Italian striker Christian Vieri has been removed from the game entirely. These changes reflect the constant evaluation and reevaluation of players, ensuring that the most deserving individuals are honored as Base Icons.
