Baldur’s Gate 3, the highly anticipated RPG, recently released its first patch, which addressed numerous bugs and issues. However, the developers at Larian Studios have made it clear that they are not stopping there. In a recent post on Steam, Larian outlined their future plans for updates, aiming to enhance the overall gaming experience for players.

One of the key areas that the developers are focusing on is performance improvements. While the first two acts of the game have been relatively smooth, Act 3 has encountered performance issues. Larian acknowledges this and assures players that Patch 2 will bring significant performance improvements, particularly targeting Act 3. This update is expected to have a noticeable impact, allowing players to fully immerse themselves in the game without any technical hindrances.

In addition to performance improvements, Larian is also committed to addressing the bugs that have been reported by players. They understand the frustration that bugs can cause, especially in Act 3, and are determined to eliminate these issues. Patch 2 will specifically target the major bugs, providing a more seamless and enjoyable gaming experience.

The developers at Larian Studios have received feedback from the community regarding what some players have referred to as “cut content.” However, Larian clarifies that not all instances of “cut content” are intentional omissions. In some cases, the content fails to trigger due to bugs, which the developers are actively working on fixing. In other cases, Larian explains that certain features in the epilogue were removed because they did not meet their quality standards.

Although the developers considered the length of the ending cinematics and trimmed them accordingly, they acknowledge that not everyone shares their perspective. As a result, Larian has decided to expand the epilogues, starting with a new optional ending featuring Karlach. Described as fiery and poignant, this additional ending aims to provide Karlach with a deserving conclusion to her story.

Larian Studios continues to listen to player feedback and is actively working on implementing new features to enhance gameplay. One highly anticipated feature is the ability to remove co-op party members who join your campaign. This will give players more control over their playing experience, allowing them to tailor their party according to their preferences.

Additionally, Larian is developing a way for players to change their characters’ appearance after starting a campaign. This feature will provide players with the freedom to refine their characters’ looks and truly make them their own. Although no release date has been provided for this feature yet, its inclusion shows the developers’ commitment to improving player satisfaction.

Larian Studios has great plans for the future of Baldur’s Gate 3. With updates focused on performance improvements, bug fixes, and the addition of new content, players can look forward to an enhanced gaming experience. The dedication of the developers to listen to player feedback and implement requested features demonstrates their commitment to creating a truly remarkable RPG. As Baldur’s Gate 3 continues to evolve, fans of the series can rest assured that Larian Studios is dedicated to delivering the best possible gameplay experience.
